You
might wonder why the variety of services. Pet grooming, show
handling, wedding photography?
Well,
I'm a Pisces. We are a creative bunch. :)
My family
bred Labradors, so at age 3 I was walking around with puppies
in my arms. I have been taking pictures of everything since
I got my first camera at age 10. And when I was in high school
I got my first show dog, and started learning how to groom
for shows. Eventually I worked at a pet grooming shop where
I learned how to use clippers! (show dogs don't need those)
I also
have a business degree, owned a pet grooming shop of my own
for a few years, worked for several years in veterinary clinics
as a vet assistant (helping in surgeries, with dental procedures,
and lots of other fun and interesting cases), was the First
Aid attendant (Level 3 Industrial First aid certified) on
a movie set, worked as an Employment and Assistance Worker
(income assistance programs), and Senior Financial Officer
in the Provincial Government, and recently added a Gypsy Vanner
to our family.
So really,
I have been doing a variety of things all my life.
I love the challenge
of new changes as well as the variety of clientelle I serve
depending on whether it's for photographing a family reunion,
photographing a horse show, showing dogs, grooming dogs, designing
websites for new businesses, training my horse for commercials,
or breeding dogs for my own purposes (Great Danes, Boxers,
and Brussels Griffons - see the 'pattern' in that I like to
try different things?). :)
